The purpose of this policy is to promote fire safety awareness and to ensure unobstructed egresses from University buildings in the event of a fire emergency or evacuation. The policy also is intended to prevent damage to property and ensure standards of cleanliness.

The purpose of this policy is to restrict and control firearms on University owned, leased, or managed properties. 

Definitions:

1.1 Firearms: means any firearm regulated by the Firearms Act.

The purpose of this policy is to outline essential requirements of the Ontario Fire Code regarding portable fire extinguishers, and to promote the placement of fire extinguishers in the workplace that is appropriate for the potential fire risk.
